A Fix For Nintendo Wii Error Code 51331

I've recently connected a Nintendo Wii to the internet via a wireless router and had a problem with Error code 51331. This fix worked for me (using a SpeedTouch 585v6.)

Get the SpeedTouch page up (for IE, just type 'speedtouch' in the address bar.)

1. Click Home Network

2. Click WLAN

3. Click Configure (top right)

4. Go down to Security - Allow New Devices

5. Using the drop down menu change to : 'New Stations Are Allowed (Automatically)'

6. Save Settings - exit page. That's It.

My router was set to 'New Stations Are Allowed (via Registration)' and after changing this the Wii identified the router pretty quick.

PS - Make sure (on the Wii) you enter your network password correctly and that for the SpeedTouch the WPA-PSK type is TKIP (ie select on the Wii WPA-PSK (TKIP)).
